Ok, let's get back to business. I'm here to update the beauty buys that I have purchased throughout the first half of 2016 (from January till today). All of these products are within budget price for their contents AND quality and a little goes a long way.
From left to right:
1) Freeman Feeling Beautiful Avocado & Oatmeal Clay Mask (175 ml)
Price: RM18+ in Miri (depending on sales or where you purchase it from)
It is claimed to nourish and purify pores.
"Rich clays dive deep to purge dirt and oils from pores. Nutrient-rich Vitamin E, Avocado & Oatmeal moisturize for lasting skin softness. Skin looks and feels squeaky clean and it is soft to the touch. Perfect for normal to combination skin."
I love this product and I basically love the Freeman products. I have been using this for several times now, but I'd like to empty it out first before making any reviews. So far, it does what it claims and totally worth its price. I purchased this at Watson Miri. Brunei used to have Freeman products, but for some unknown reasons, they are not sold anywhere here anymore. If any Bruneians read this, and know the reason, please leave your comment below :) Thank You
2) Freeman Feeling Beautiful Charcoal & Black Sugar Mud Mask (175 ml)
Price: RM16.80 in KL (depending on sales or where you purchase it from)
It is claimed to smooth, purify & moisturize.
"This velvety mud mask works like magic (it really works like magic, guys) to moisturize, remineralize and make skin sensatinally soft. Dead sea minerals have natural nourishing effect that boosts that smoothnes and overall skin health. Activated charcoal locks onto and lifts away oils and toxins without over-drying skin. Black Sugar helps skin hold on to hydration and smooth away roughness. Perfect for normal to combination skin."
I really, really love this stuff. You can say, this is the mask that I fell in love with at first sight. I had been eyeing it since its production in full size and had even made it to my wishlist, but being so far away from the US, and it wasn't yet available anywhere in Asia made it impossible for me to get it and I have to look into other masks. But it is now available and within my reach, at least in KL it is or Miri. Go get it guys, reviews are not much for this, but a few reviews that I stumbled upon love this mask and some even said it's a dupe for GlamGlow mask. Purchase and try it your self. I have tried 4 times already and it's really satisfying. I'm gonna do a review on this when I empty this out which means not sooner :P. SPOILER ALERT: It reduces your blackheads, whiteheads and smoothens, reduce the appearance of large pores. REDUCE, ok? not toally 100% eradicated it. Darn those deeply lodged blackheads!!! -_-" I seriously need to get myself a pore brush. Nevertheless, a satisfactory product. I couldn't emphasize this enough.
(Thanks to my dear boyfriend for buying this for me on his KL vacay. This mask seems to be just hitting Asia's/KL's shores. I knew it from Twitter and I couldn't wait to get my hands on it. In addition, thanks to my bf for getting this at the right time - y'know with all the Ramadhan and Raya just around the corner)
3) THEFACESHOP Rice Water Bright Cleansing Foam (150 ml)
Price: BND17.90 at The FaceShop, The Mall, Gadong (depending on sales or where you purchase it from)
"Cleansing foam with Rice Extract gently moisturizes skin with its rich, dense foam.
Brightening, deep-cleansing foam effectively cleanses away make up as the whipped cream texture gently envelops the skin. Formulated with natural cleansing agents including Rice Extrct and Soapwort Extract, it leaves skin looking clear and bright."
Ok, I haven't used this full size cleanser, as I'm stil using the sample size one that I got on my birthday as a member. And so far, I'm loving it. Yes, its foam is rich, whipped cream textured and dense, yes I feel like my skin is being deeply cleansed everytime I spread it on my face, and as a result it reduces the rough surface on my skin and I feel my skin is squeaky clean and smooth.
4) Maybelline New York HyperSharp Laser Eyeliner
Price: RM20+ in Miri (depending on sales or where you purchase it from)
Ok, I haven't had an eyeliner for a long time but eyeliner is my fav make up item as I consider it to be easily applied and it accentuates my big eyes. Well, at least most eyeliners I've used (mostly from Avon) are. The second eyeliners I've tried were colored ones from The Face Shop years ago but they were sooo bad because they caused my eyes to go all teary. This is the third brand I'm trying, which is Maybelline and as far as I've known, Maybelline got pretty great to decent eye make-up products. This is my first make up review, so it's gonna be a mini one and might sound too newbie :P
What I like about it:
- Ultra fine tip (0.01mm), super sharp lines and super easy to control.
- Smudgeproof and it stays all day.
- Easy off and fast removal - even without a makeup remover.
- It's available in intense black, soft black and brown. I got the intense black one and I want to try the brown one. I want to see how it looks like on my eyes. I assume it would be much more natural looking than black. I don't know LOL I really need to experiment it first. I don't want to look too black metal with just black eyeliners LOL
What I don't like about it:
- Its packaging, It's not that I'm really bothered by it but SOMETIMES they also need to work on appealing people with 'child-at-heart' like me LOL like their latest Magnum Mascara Barbie Edition, it's the one that triggers me to try make-up more LOL I wish they would come up with a Barbie Edition, with pink and yellow packaging eyeliner, it would be so cute in the makeup pouch/on the vanity top.
