BEAUTY REVIEW #6: Tony Moly Kiss Kiss Lip Scrub

Before I know about this lip scrub thingy, I used to scrub my lips by using a toothbrush, before I proceeded with a lip balm. I somehow found that aggravating my lips when most of the time it would result in bloody lips :P Did I scrub it too hard? I guess so. Therefore I decide to settle for something less painful... and less bloody. Been surfing here and there, and came across this word 'lip scrub', and most of them I've found on google are DIYs. LOL I'm too lazy to go shopping for the ingredients :P and even to rummage through our kitchen's cabinet without being thoroughly questioned by my mom :P I don't find it a comfort, okay LOL when I heard that Tony Moly has a lip scrub, I was really all over it... and I couldn't find one at the Guardian Pharmacy (do correct me if they do now). So I decided to invest on one during my trip to Miri when I happened to stopped by at their Tony Moly branch. I can't remember its price but I do remember it was cheaper at that time because it was the beginning of the new year so it's a given that most shops held a SALE.

They are cutely packaged in a hot pink, lip shaped container, and inside there's this mini cap (that I mostly find them in ointment balms) to prevent leakage.

The scrub is sort of lighter shade of nude colored with dark red/brown granules. When you look up at others' reviews regarding this, don't be surprised if their lip scrubs look different from mine :P Most of them might have taken the pictures when they have just bought it so the structure of their scrubs are creamy with granules scattered around. That was what my scrub looked like when I just had it :P The fact that I stored it longer in an air conditioned room makes it looks more like a balm than a scrub, plus I use it at a very slow rate like once or twice a week (for me anything with scrubbing properties cannot be used daily). I'm pretty economical :P

I'd rate it:
4/5

I'd rate it lower if not for its quality and quantity. It might be pricey for some (and for me too), but it isn't enough to get a con out of it because this thing is great. It helps to get rid of the dry skin that makes the lips look chapped. And it doesn't stop there, this lip scrub gives the after-use effect: soft and moisturizing, but of course we have to use lip balm afterwards for further moisturizing of the lips :) And it's quantity isn't that bad either. If you religiously apply it for once or twice a week, it can last for approximately 3 to 4 months. One more thing, it smells like peaches. I was surprised that peach isn't one of the said ingredients above but it does smell like peaches.

Will I repurchase it?
Not in the near future, I won't. It's great, but I'd also like to consider other brands than just Tony Moly. E.L.F got this lip exfoliator for only BND9. I'd like to try the overpriced BND31 LUSH bubblegum lip scrub too.. I heard that it's edible and that if you use it, you can just lick it with your tongue to wipe it off after you do the scrubbing LOL I don't know if it's true or not.
