Ohayo Gozaimasu~~ Selamat Pagi~~ Good Morning~~
It has been awhile since I started this blog with my first post, huh? The beginning has always been a struggle for me -sigh- not only because I was busy with work but it's also because of my own laziness since the holiday starts :P Holiday has always been a slack-off moment for me, where I just lying around with Kdramas and movies :P But what's the point of starting off this blog right, if it's just going to be abandoned... So, here I am, with the first skincare product review:
When it was first launched, I was so excited because I love Garnier products, especially the Pure Active range (the one with blue and red theme) because it was the first range that could eradicate most of my teenage acne and pimples :P But that said range didn't come with a mask pack, and not even a mask sheet. Garnier does have mask sheets, but they don't have the one under the Pure Active range and I prefer mask packs anyway as it's economical. Although, it is of different range which is 'Pure', it still has the same purpose in eradicating acne as what its packaging displayed:
I'd rate it : 4.5/5
It isn't my first purchase, meaning I love this product.
I prefer it as a face scrub and a face mask, but not as a facial cleanser. Because, the white cream has sort of blue beads in it, which is good for scrubbing. It's not that coarse, but I feel that it's too harsh to be a cleanser. it made my face oily after a few hours. I deduced that it stripped off the natural sebum (the beneficial one) which invited more sebum to resurface. So a cleanser is a no-no for this one.
As a face scrub, I find it awesome. I concentrated on the T-Zone area and the chin. As the packaging says, it contains pumice stone which helps to eliminates dead skin cells and 88% clearing the pores. True enough, the blackheads on my nose area and forehead has been cleared off ^_^
As for face mask, I find it refreshing, somehow there's this minty (cooling) air that surrounds my skin :P It mattifies my skin and the major reason behind the fast cure for my acne and pimples ^_^. The claim on the packaging says it to be unifying skin complexion for 91%. I don't see that claim is actually happening on me X'D nevertheless, it is still my favorite face mask around ^_^ One thing that I dislike (not so much) is its 'medicinal' smell. Somehow, I kinda wish the Garnier 'scientists' can come up with fruity smell (and packaging :P) for this 3-in-1 product.
Will I repurchase them again?
Yes, maybe, but I'm now on a hunt for a new face pack. One of those I have in mind is Vichy 3-in-1, but I don't know if it's available here in Brunei. I haven't yet checked. If there isn't any that can replace it, I'd say, I'll go for the improvised version of Garnier Pure 3-in-1. Yeap, this product is a 'senior'. They don't sell the product with this packaging anymore.
And they change the 'Pure' into the 'Pure Active' too, I'm not sure what's the difference is and the spot-on is its packaging, of course :P. Bet it's just one of the trick they have up their commercial sleeves :P For me, it's still the same, in terms of its ingredients with "Triple Mineral Properties and Salicylic Acid", and the descriptions they got at the back is still the copied-and-pasted from the previous version.
I'm soo hoping they can make the packaging more interesting with colors and add fruity ingredient to it, just like the new Garnier Pure Active Fruit Energy face cleanser they have, so re-energizing. You can smell the refreshing fruity scent just as you squeeze the product out to your palm/fingers.
