BEAUTY REVIEW #16: Safi Balqis White Trilogy Miracle Gel

Hey, guys, I'm back with another review and this time on a peeling gel that started as an impulse buy (because I really, really needed something to solve those clogged pores issue on my nose area) and it turned out to be something that I love. I've been using this for around a month.

The product is packaged in a squeeze tube with a screw cap. It contains 40 g of product that costs around BND7. I bought it off an SKH store in Sengkurong, but you can also find this in the pharmacy stores, or any other supermarkets or hypermarkets that have Safi Balqis shelves in them, like Giant, Hua Ho, Jaya Hypermart, Utama Grand and so on. Hey, there's a possibility that you could find this at your nearest grocery store too.

Ingredients:
Water, Dimethicone, Carbomer, Steartrimonium Chloride, Propylene Gycol, Maltooligosyl Glucoside, Hydrogenated Starch Hydrolysate, Polyperfluoromethylisopropyl Ether, Pullulan, Jojoba Esters, Isoporyl Lauroyl Sarcosinate, 4-Butylresorcinol, Arctostaphylos Uva Ursi (Bearberry) Leaf Extract, Actinidia Chinensis (Kiwi) Fruit Extract, Behentrimonium Chloride, Glycyrrhiza Glabra (Licorice) Root Extract, Ethylexyl Methoxycinnamate, Fragrance, MethylParaben, CI 77289.

The gel isn't runny and it isn't thick either, just right and it's easily spread around. It has blue granules in it that aren't abrasive to the skin.

How do I use it?
I usually use this twice a week. I'd massage this gel on dry skin in circular motion (until the product balled up, trapping dirt and dead skin cells) for 1 or 2 minutes, before rinsing it off and proceed with facial cleansing and clay masking.

So, why do I claim to love it so much? Does it really work??

First, let's hear out all of its claims.

- Easily eliminates blackheads -
Yes, after every use, I realized most of my blackheads on between my brows, on my cheeks, on my chin and on my nose were gone.

- Making pores smaller -
Yes, although it's not a long term effect, my pores did look smaller after every use.

- Leaving skin feeling perfectly smooth and fairer -
Yes, my skin is smoother now. It feels less sandpaper-ry LOL On the 'fairer' department, I can't say much, but it does lighten the acne scars on my forehead.

I'd rate it:
4/5
Pros:
- It eliminates most of my blackheads.
- It makes my pores smaller.
- It makes my skin smooth.
- It lightens the acne scars.
- It's inexpensive and easily available.
- It doesn't break me out.

Cons:
- That uncomfortable heavy and sticky feeling after every usage before it settles into smooth and silky finish.
- The smell can be overpowering at times.
- It contains silicone (2nd on the ingredients list) and a minute amount of methylparaben (2nd last of the ingredients list).

Would I repurchase?
I don't mind repurchasing this product, but I'd love to try other brands too ^^

All in all, I fall in love with Safi Balqis products especially their latest range, which is a replacement for the old White Trilogy range, Safi Balqis Oxywhite. I'm currently using their facial cleanser, and can't wait to rave about it soon. Till next time ^^
